What is Logohue?
One brand a day, its logo printed in flat black, and a single question: what colour is it really? The brand is named for you, so this is not a logo quiz, it is a memory test on a specific shade. The prompt reads « What color is the highlighted part of this logo? », and you get exactly one guess.
How to play
- Read the brand name above the monochrome logo and note which part of the mark the prompt is asking about.
- Tap the swatch to open the picker. There is a hue strip, a shade square and a hex field, and it starts you on a neutral grey.
- Press Lock in guess. That is the only one you get today.
Why play Logohue?
Telling you the brand name up front sounds like it gives the game away, and then you open the picker and discover you have no idea. That gap is the whole design: everyone is sure they know what colour a famous logo is until they have to point at it on a gradient. One guess a day makes it a ten second ritual with no way to nibble your way to the answer, and the hex field means anyone who works with brand palettes can play it as a genuine skill test rather than a shrug.
Reading the feedback
The interface commits you before it tells you anything. No colour code, no arrows, no second try, and the game's own line is how close can you get, so this is graded by proximity rather than a yes or no verdict.
Modes
- Core play
- Single daily puzzle: the page shows one brand (logo printed in flat black), and asks “What color is the highlighted part of this logo?”. You get exactly one guess: open the picker (hue strip, shade square and hex field), choose a color and press the single “Lock in guess” button. The result is graded by proximity. There are no additional modes or extra guesses.
Tips & strategy
- Type the hex if you know it. The picker is fine for browsing but hopeless for precision, and brand colours are exactly the kind of thing people half-remember as a number.
- The default is a neutral grey, which is the worst possible answer for almost any brand, so never lock in without moving something.
- Picture the product, not the logo. The mark is shown in black on purpose, so what you are actually recalling is packaging, livery or a storefront.
Popular questions
How many guesses do I get?
One. The game says so twice on the page, and the button is a single Lock in guess.
Can I play the ones I missed?
There is an Archive tab in the header alongside Today.
Do I need to sign in?
No. Sign in is offered in the corner, but the day's puzzle plays without it.
