Earthle

Earthle shows a country's silhouette in gray, with no scale, no name and no reference points, beneath the question "Which country is this?". A single input field, six result lines already drawn under the frame, and a "6 left" counter that decrements. The original address redirects to capitalle.app, the portal that hosts the game.

1. Look at the silhouette: proportions, coastline cut, general orientation.
2. Type a country into the "Guess a country…" field and submit with Go.
3. Read the returned line, which displays a distance in kilometers, a direction and a proximity percentage.
4. Repeat, narrowing in, until the six attempts indicated by the counter are exhausted.

Guessing a country from its outline alone is a curiously humbling exercise, and Earthle makes it playable by giving quantified feedback for each attempt rather than a simple wrong. The six empty lines displayed in advance make you want to fill them intelligently rather than guess at random.

Each line combines three pieces of information: distance in kilometers, direction and a proximity percentage, plus a color code the game provides itself: green for the correct answer, orange for very close, yellow for lukewarm, black for far. The six lines are visible empty from the start, which shows the response format even before the first try.

• Since the response format is visible before playing, the first guess can serve as a deliberate pivot: a country central to a continent returns a distance and direction you can use even if it's wrong.
• The silhouette is not scaled relative to the globe: read the shape and the outline, not the apparent size.
