Contexto

Contexto is a daily word game about meaning rather than spelling. You type any word, and an AI-built ordering places it according to how similar its use in language is to the secret word. The answer occupies position 1, guesses are unlimited, and no letters are revealed. The result is a search through associations: one promising rank can point toward a subject, setting, object, or action worth exploring.

1. Choose the dated Daily game from the home screen, or open Unlimited for a puzzle outside the daily schedule.
2. Type a word into the single input field and submit it.
3. Read the word's position in the similarity ordering. Position 1 is the secret word, so smaller numbers mean you are moving closer.
4. Use your best-ranked guesses as leads, test words that appear in related contexts, and continue until you reach position 1.

Contexto turns free association into a trackable search. Every useful guess gives you a direction without exposing a single letter, and unlimited attempts leave room for both careful reasoning and strange detours. It is especially satisfying when several loose associations suddenly resolve into one precise word.

An accepted guess receives its position in a list sorted by contextual similarity to the secret word; the secret word is number 1. The rules explain that the algorithm learned these relationships by analysing thousands of texts and the contexts in which words are used.

• Follow usage, not spelling. Once a guess ranks well, think about the situations, objects, people, and actions that commonly surround it in text.
• Use the unlimited attempts to test broad areas early. A poor rank can rule out a line of thought, while a much smaller number gives you a semantic neighbourhood to explore.
• Do not stop at direct synonyms. Words can be close because they share a setting or are often discussed together, even when their dictionary definitions differ.
