Flux Grid

Grab yellow tiles, four by four, with a simple objective: clear the board. You link adjacent letters, including diagonals, to form a word, and that word clears its own tiles. The game doesn't ask you to guess a hidden word but to cut the grid into words, which shifts the effort to the order in which you dismantle it. A counter at the top of the screen shows moves played against the day's budget, "Moves: 0 / 4".

1. Click a first letter, then continue onto a neighboring tile, diagonals included. Selected tiles turn teal, are numbered in the chosen order and a line connects the path.
2. The current word appears above the grid. Submit validates it, Clear cancels the selection.
3. Repeat until all sixteen tiles are gone. The banner tracks two numbers in parallel: tiles cleared and moves played against the day's target.
4. Undo, Compact and Reset remain available during the round, and I Give Up ends the game.

The fun comes from demolition. You immediately see two or three obvious words, play them, and what remains is a mush of consonants you can't shift. Later in the week you start looking at the grid in reverse, wondering which letters should end up together, and that's when the game really clicks.

There is no color code that judges a word letter by letter: here the rule is harsher, each valid word simply removes its tiles from the grid. The true feedback is at the top of the screen, with the move counter shown against the day's budget.

Daily Puzzle

The day's 4x4 grid, identical for everyone. It's the default open mode.

Themed 5x5

A twenty-five-tile grid with a daily theme. The page specifies that only theme words are accepted, no hints are given, and the leaderboard is separate from the 4x4.

Speed Streak

A sudden-death mode described on the home screen: it unlocks by finishing the daily in under sixty seconds, the first round gives sixty seconds, subsequent rounds give thirty, and a failed round ends the streak for the day.

Challenge Friends

An invitation link shown on the home screen to race multiple players on the same grid, without creating an account.

• Diagonals count, which completely changes how you read the board: a letter stuck in the corner is still connected to three neighbors and can act as a pivot.
• The displayed objective is not a score but a move budget: the page asks you to clear the 4×4 board in as few moves as possible. A long word that leaves four orphaned letters scattered costs more than a medium word that keeps the rest connected.
• Three tools (Undo, Compact and Reset), remain accessible during a round. The page only states they carry no time penalty in the Speed Streak description, not for the Daily Puzzle.
