Sedecordle

Sedecordle fits sixteen five-letter grids on the same page and feeds them from a single pool of 21 attempts. Each word you type is entered simultaneously into all sixteen grids, where it is colored differently according to the hidden word in each. A numbered index from 1 to 16 lets you jump from one grid to another, with the remaining-attempts counter just beside it; the game in the report was number 1654.

1. Type a five-letter word using the keyboard shown beneath the grids, then submit it.
2. Note that it appears at once in all sixteen grids, each coloring it according to its own solution.
3. Navigate with the numbered index from 1 to 16 to go back and read the grid your guess has lit up.
4. Continue until you solve all sixteen grids before the attempt counter runs out.

The fun comes from cross-reading: the same word does not say the same thing depending on the grid, and managing a shared pool of attempts for sixteen solutions is more about resource management than about wordplay.

Classic, immediate coloring, grid by grid: green for a letter in the correct place, gold for a letter that is present but misplaced, dark background for the rest. The same word can therefore be green in one grid and gold in a neighboring one, which is precisely the point of the side-by-side display. The counter in the top right decreases by one for each word submitted.

Daily

The daily grid, numbered and accessed via the mode=daily parameter; it is the one that was played.

Grilles illimitées

The site advertises free, open grids in addition to the daily; the report did not open this mode.

• Sixteen solutions fed from a common pool of attempts: the margin for blind openings is slim, each word must serve as a global test before serving as a try.
• The numbered index is the main working tool: after a guess, the useful reading is that of the grids where it had the most effect.
