DailyGuessr publishes each day at midnight UTC a street-level 360-degree panorama, the same for everyone, and gives you five pins to indicate where the photo was taken. The window is split in two: the panorama on the left, a zoomable world map on the right with five numbered locations from #1 to #5 and a Submit Guess button.

1. Rotate the panorama and look for the clues listed by the site: signs, architecture, vegetation, terrain, license plates, language, driving side, power lines.
2. Click or tap the map to place the pin, zooming in to gain precision.
3. Confirm with Submit Guess: the first attempt returns the distance in kilometers.
4. From the second attempt, also use the direction arrow that points toward the target.
5. Repeat the round up to five attempts, each pin filling a numbered row.

Five pins and a map for one panorama per day. The clever detail is the arrow that only appears on the second attempt, which turns the game into triangulation rather than a simple lottery.

Feedback is purely metric: distance in kilometers from the first attempt, a direction arrow from the second, and a score that rises as you get closer, up to 10,000 points maximum. The site states that a pin placed within 50 km earns a green badge, and each round ends with a mood label ranging from 'Completely Lost' to 'Local Expert'.

Past panoramas remain accessible from the calendar, to catch up on a missed day.

• The direction arrow only appears on the second attempt: the first is mainly to open the compass, so place it decisively on a continent rather than hesitate.
• The score depends on distance and not on the country found: it's better to place a cautious pin in the center of a plausible area than to make a precise guess on the wrong coast.
• The panorama rotates freely and nothing times you: the site claims there is no timer, so background details are worth the time you spend on them.
