Jetlagged

Jetlagged is a world quiz that exists in two formats. The first is single-player and daily: ten new questions, advertised to take about two minutes, with a streak to maintain and a weekly leaderboard. The second is a real-time room: you create a game, share a four-letter code, and everyone sees the same question at the same moment. Points there are weighted by speed, the leaderboard moves during the game, and answers are validated server-side. The page even makes that an explicit argument against cheating. A TV mode completes the set by displaying the scoreboard on a big screen, without sign-up or participation.

1. To play alone, start the daily quiz: ten questions about the world, refreshed daily.
2. To play with others, choose "Create a room", then enter your nickname and avatar ("Surprise me" picks one at random).
3. Choose the category: "Around the World" mixes everything and is the default setting, or select a single theme from the list.
4. Set the match length (5, 10, or 15 rounds), then create the room.
5. Share the four-letter code; others join using "Join with a code", and a big screen can display the scoreboard via TV mode.

Because it's a rare geography quiz designed to be played aloud in a living room. The simultaneity (everyone on the same question at the same time, with a scoreboard moving on the TV), completely changes the atmosphere compared with a solitary daily puzzle, and the theme catalogue embraces the niche: metro maps, airport codes, renamed cities.

In rooms, feedback is continuous: live scores, points weighted by answer speed, and a leaderboard that updates over the rounds, with scoring done on the server rather than in the browser. For the daily mode, the page highlights the streak to keep and progression up the weekly leaderboard.

• The room length is set before creation, not during the game: match it to the time you actually have.
