What is Wirespan?
Wirespan asks you to power every house from a plant with the least wire possible. You build or remove towers on open ground, and then improve the layout after all houses are connected.
How to play
- Read the day’s grid and locate the plant, houses and usable ground.
- Tap to build or remove towers; wires connect anything within two squares.
- Power every house, then rearrange the layout to shorten wires and raise the delivered output.
Why play Wirespan?
It is a compact optimization puzzle for players who like a clean first solution and an even cleaner second pass.
Reading the feedback
The interface exposes three live measures: towers built, houses powered and output in MW. Its rules state that shorter wires deliver more MW, so a solved grid can still be improved.
Modes
- Today
- One shared grid worldwide, refreshed at midnight.
- Archive
- The navigation includes an archive and yesterday’s grid.
- Drills
- Practice drills offer a fresh grid at any time.
Tips & strategy
- Finish the connection first, then optimize: the site explicitly lets you keep tuning after every house is lit.
- Use a tower only when it creates a useful two-square connection; surplus towers can lengthen the network.
