The Movies board on CastMe hides a film and shows only its cast, revealed bit by bit. At the top is the day number. In the center is the list of performers: the first names are shown, the following ones replaced by question marks. Below that, a "Guesses left" counter set to six and an input field. The trick is elsewhere: the site guide explains that by submitting an empty guess you reveal the next actor without using a try. Each wrong film guess also opens up new names. The guide also mentions a "Hard Mode" reserved for Premium, with fewer tries, and specifies that each grid is checked for its reveal curve, answer validation, and absence of duplicates.

1. Read the names already revealed on the board and note how many slots remain hidden.
2. Type a film title into the input field and validate with Guess. The guesses counter starts at six.
3. Submit an empty guess when a face means nothing: the guide says this reveals the next actor without consuming a guess.
4. Finish the grid to access result sharing and the statistics panel: success rate, distribution of guesses, streaks and badges.

Identifying a film by its cast plays on a memory almost never called on deliberately: that of supporting roles. The first names that appear are not necessarily the headliners, and that is precisely what makes deduction interesting, because a minor actor can place a period, a studio, or even a director who repeatedly uses the same troupe. The empty guess, which buys one more name without costing a try, gives the game a rare rhythm: you can choose to look longer before speaking, and that patience is paid for only in curiosity.

The board is its own clue. Each wrong answer lengthens the cast list, and the "Guesses left" counter counts down from six. There is no color code here: the feedback is simply the additional name that appears. After the game, the guide promises a shareable summary and a statistics panel with success rate, guess distribution, streaks, badges and archive progress.

Hard Mode

Presented in the guide as a Premium variant specific to Movies grids, with fewer tries.

• The empty guess is the board’s best deal: it reveals an additional actor without eating into the six guesses. There’s no reason to burn a real guess on a lukewarm hunch.
• The guide says each grid is checked for its reveal curve, answer validation and lack of duplicates. It’s therefore better to reason by the whole group of actors than by a single familiar face.
• The board shows how many slots are still masked: that directly indicates the size of the cast chosen for the grid.
