Guess the song with as few instruments as possible. The clip starts on a single instrument and every miss or skip layers another one on top, until the whole band is playing and the answer is obvious.

1. Play the opening clip. One instrument only.
2. Guess the song, or skip to bring in the next instrument.
3. Name it before the full band arrives - the fewer instruments, the better the score.
4. Decide in Settings which hints you allow yourself: year, genre, difficulty, instruments, views, streams.

Heardle gave you more of the same song. Bandle gives you more of the band, which flips the skill from recognition to arrangement: you are identifying a track from its parts rather than from its hook. Anyone who has played in a band has a real edge here, and anyone who only ever listens to vocals will struggle on the sparsest clips. The catalogue runs past two thousand songs, and the themed packs - decades, genres, soundtracks, specials - are the paid layer sitting on top of the free daily.

Each song carries a par, so you can see whether you beat the score the puzzle expects. Settings also control whether the worldwide stats and your solve time are shown alongside your result.

Multiplayer

Play against other players.

• Listen to the opening single-instrument clip and only skip when you aren’t confident. Each skip layers another instrument and makes the answer easier but worsens your score.
• Try to name the track before the full band arrives: fewer instruments used improves your result and lets you beat the song’s par.
• Set your hint preferences in Settings (year, genre, difficulty, instruments, views, streams) before playing so the level of help matches how you want to play.
• Use Settings to hide or show worldwide stats and your solve time depending on whether you want to compare results or stay private.
• If you missed the daily, open the menu’s Past 7 Days entry to play recent songs; use Packs for themed collections or Multiplayer to compete against others.
