THE SPLIT

THE SPLIT poses a single closed (yes/no) question each day to the entire planet, then asks you a second, much harder question: what percentage of humans will answer Yes. A slider starts at 50 and the instructions specify that leaving it at 50 counts as a prediction only if you touch the slider. Below, the LAST REVEAL block shows the previous day's question with its result, the number of votes, the number of countries represented out of about 195, and a world map colored country by country according to the majority. The game runs on timecube.in; the site description announces a reveal of the results at 00:00 UTC, and the footer claims complete anonymity.

1. Choose your side, Yes or No: as long as nothing is chosen the submit button stays grayed out and displays "Pick a side first".
2. Set the slider to the percentage of the Earth that will answer Yes, touching it even to leave it at 50.
3. Come back to see the verdict: the site's description announces a reveal at 00:00 UTC, and the homepage permanently displays the previous day's result.

Answering a closed question costs nothing; predicting the planet's answer is a much more uncomfortable exercise: you have to set aside what you think to estimate what unknown people around the world think. The next day's map, with its countries colored one by one, shows how provincial that estimate was.

The reward is not being right about the question but being right about the others. The reveal block gives the global percentage, the vote volume and the country coverage, and above all that world map where each country adopts the color of its majority, which makes visible the geographic fractures that a single global percentage crushes. Core play

The site presents a single daily puzzle: one closed (yes/no) question plus a prediction slider for what percentage of humans will answer Yes. Players must pick Yes or No (the submit button is disabled until a side is chosen) and touch the slider to record a percentage (leaving it at 50 only counts if you touch it). Results are revealed at 00:00 UTC and the homepage shows the previous day's reveal.

• The trap is in the instruction: leaving the slider at 50 only counts if you've touched it. An unregistered prediction is a lost prediction.
• Past reveals are accessible from the homepage. Browsing them gives an idea of the panel's usual tilt, which is better than betting on your own national intuition.
