TypeCircuit

TypeCircuit strings together three quotes to be retyped on the keyboard, taken from video games, films and anime, and returns a words-per-minute score. The day's circuit has a number and everyone types the same three texts. The screen is a black cockpit: the quote at the top, the typing area in the middle, five counters at the bottom.

1. Start the circuit from the Play button on the home screen.
2. Retype the displayed quote.
3. Work through the three quotes in the circuit; the 1/3 counter in the top left shows your progress.

Because classic typing tests loop without stakes, whereas here there is only one circuit per day, the same for everyone, and three quotes to handle cleanly. The short format forces a choice between speed and neatness.

Correction is immediate and visual: from the first incorrect keystroke, the erroneous portion turns red and is underlined in the quote and a message "Oops! You made a mistake." appears next to the 1/3 counter. Five indicators update live below the input area: WPM, Time, Typos, Accuracy and Characters. Errors are costly: ten missed keystrokes were enough to drop accuracy to 87.65%.

Past Circuits

The What's New panel announces replays of previous circuits and the review of your results; a calendar icon appears in the header.

• Slowing down pays more than rushing: after ten incorrect keystrokes, the WPM counter was still at 0 and accuracy had already fallen to 87.65%.
• The error message does not block typing; you must spot the red underlined passage yourself to understand where your hand slipped.
• The What's New panel announces four themes, Light mode, Hacker, Game Boy and Amber. A settings button appears in the interface.
