What is Dribble?
Dribble gives you two NBA players and asks you to construct the chain of teammates that links them, in at most six links. Each proposed name must have shared a locker room with the previous link; the round ends when your proposal has played both with the previous link and with the target player. The help panel illustrates the rule with Curry and LeBron connected by Kevin Durant then Kyrie Irving, and shows that a name that has never crossed paths with the previous link is rejected.
How to play
- Open dribblegame.com/play: the two players to connect are displayed, separated by the chain to fill.
- Type into the field the name of a player who has been a teammate of the starting player.
- Submit: if the link holds, the name joins the chain and the remaining guesses counter decreases.
- Repeat, each time aiming for a teammate of the last validated name.
- Win by proposing a player who has played with the previous link and with the target player.
Why play Dribble?
Dribble shifts the usual NBA quiz question: it's no longer about who was great, but who played with whom. It's locker-room culture, midseason trades and late-career veterans, and it rewards players nobody would name in a top 50.
Reading the feedback
The chain reads vertically, from the starting player to the target player, and each proposal is inserted there. The help panel example shows the three possible outcomes: the valid link remains displayed in plain text, the proposal that has never shared a team with the previous link appears grayed out and struck through, and the winning link is highlighted in green. The number of remaining guesses is shown under the pair, and the help example also numbers failed attempts, so an error does consume a guess.

Tips & strategy
- The field expects a player recognized by the game: an ordinary word adds nothing to the chain. Type a full name and check that it is suggested before submitting.
- The best links are nomads: a player who has passed through five or six franchises covers many more locker rooms than a one-club player, even a much more famous one.
- Think by eras before thinking by talent. Two stars who never had the same career window are connected only by a veteran who bridged the two generations.
- An error costs a guess, as the help example shows where the second attempt is rejected and the third is numbered afterwards: it's better to mentally verify the common locker room before submitting.
Popular questions
How many links to connect the two players?
Six at most. The "guesses remaining" counter is displayed under the pair, and the wins distribution in the stats panel runs from 1 to 6.
Does a rejected proposal cost a guess?
Yes. The help panel example numbers the rejected attempt like the others before moving on to the next.
Do you need an account to keep your streak?
