Daily Herd

Daily Herd reverses the quiz logic: you aren’t asked for the correct answer, but for the one the crowd will give. Five open questions like “What's the worst common food?”, a free-text field, and an instruction pinned at the top of the card, “Type what MOST people would say”. The site sums up its promise in one line, “One herd. Five questions. Can you think like everyone else?”, and specifies that the same five questions are used for everyone that day. The Daily section belongs to the Herd Game site, whose header also lines up Solo, Party and Teams sections that the day’s series never uses.

1. Open the Daily page and start the series from “Play today's herd”, which carries the day's herd number.
2. Read the question shown large in the center of the card and put your personal opinion aside: the line above asks what the majority would answer.
3. Type your answer in the “Your answer...” field, in the short format recommended just below.
4. Submit with “Next”: the counter moves to the next question and the progress bar advances one segment.
5. Complete the five questions of the day to then see how your answers compare with those of the herd.

Because it’s a quiz where being right is pointless. Answering “What's the worst common food?” by seeking the consensus rather than your own disgust is a small exercise in statistical empathy. The whole thing takes only a few entries, with no account or installation.

Once the first answer is submitted, the card shows “Question 2 of 5”, a segment of the progress bar filled, and the field returns to empty: no color, no correction, not the slightest hint of what others typed. The “How it works” panel says the score is earned by sticking with the herd and that you find out afterward how the world answered.

The daily series served at /daily: five identical questions for all players that day, a free-text entry per question, a progress bar for reference.

• The game itself says under the field: “Keep it short, one or two words works best.” A full sentence is unlikely to match the phrasing the crowd typed.
• Your personal taste is a trap here. The question is about the majority opinion, so an original or nuanced answer will move you away from the herd instead of toward it.
• Because the five questions are the same for everyone that day, comparing with a friend who played the same day really focuses on the answers, not on luck of the draw.
