Daily Tens

Daily Tens is a daily ten-answer trivia list. Each puzzle names a subject and displays ten numbered empty slots; instead of manually sorting a list, you type answers one at a time and the game places a correct answer into its proper rank. One round, for example, asked for the ten cheapest U.S. states to buy gas, but the subject changes with the daily puzzle.

1. Read the day’s ranked prompt and the ten blank numbered slots.
2. Type a candidate answer, choose the recognised suggestion if it appears, and submit it.
3. A correct answer is placed automatically in its exact numbered slot.
4. Avoid incorrect entries: the board starts with five hearts, and an incorrect recognised answer consumes one.
5. Continue discovering the ten ranked answers while hearts remain.

Daily Tens has the satisfaction of a ranking puzzle without the tedium of manually shuffling every answer. You build the list through recall, and each correct response locks into its true position. The five-heart allowance gives the round a gentle risk: you can probe the topic, but random guessing quickly becomes costly.

The board distinguishes a hit from a miss immediately. Submitting a recognised answer outside the ten-item list changes one of the five heart icons into a dark broken-heart state and leaves the ranking slots untouched. Submitting a correct recognised answer fills its exact numbered slot in dark green without consuming a heart. This is answer-and-life feedback, not a score that merely reports how close a manually arranged order is.
