LoLdle

LoLdle is a daily guessing game built on Riot's League of Legends: each mode hides a champion that changes every 24 hours, and there are five permanent ways to find one. Classic is the attribute grid: type any champion and its row reveals gender, positions, species, resource, range type, regions and release year, each tile coloured green, orange or red, with an arrow on the year. Quote asks which champion says a line, Ability shows a single spell icon without its name, Emoji reveals one more emoji per try, and Splash shows a cropped piece of a skin's splash art that zooms out a little after each attempt. Guesses are not capped; the aim is the fewest tries, and the page counts how many players have already found the day's champion and names yesterday's. Statistics and streaks live on the device, with an export token to carry them to another one, and the game is also available on the App Store and Google Play.

1. Pick a mode from the menu: Classic, Quote, Ability, Emoji or Splash.
2. In Classic, type a champion name in the box and pick it from the suggestions; the row reveals its properties.
3. Read the colours: green is an exact match, orange a partial match, red no overlap, and the arrow on the release year says whether the answer is higher or lower.
4. Keep guessing to narrow the properties; after several guesses clues unlock, such as a random quote, a spell icon or a cropped splash art.
5. Once the champion is found, follow the Next mode prompt to the other modes, then check your statistics and streak.

LoLdle is for people who play League of Legends: the Classic grid asks for a champion's resource, region and release year, and the other modes hinge on recognising a voice line, a spell icon or a sliver of splash art. Anyone who does not know the roster has nothing to reason from. It suits daily players who like a stat sheet, with streaks, average guesses and one-shot counts, and a shared counter of the day's finders. Skip it if you want a puzzle solvable from general knowledge. A session is one pass through the five modes, chained by a Next mode prompt.

In Classic every guess adds a row of coloured tiles. Green means the property is an exact match, orange a partial match, one or more values correct but not all, as on Position(s), Species or Region(s), and red no overlap. Release year adds an arrow: up when the correct value is higher, down when it is lower. Other modes answer by revealing more: Emoji unlocks one emoji per try, Splash zooms out each try, and Quote lets you hear the line once you have guessed. A win shows your rank among the day's finders and your number of tries; a first-try win is a One Shot.

Classic

Type a champion and its row reveals gender, positions, species, resource, range type, regions and release year, coloured after every try; clues unlock after several guesses.

Quote

Guess which champion says a line spoken in game or in champion select; the audio can be played once you have guessed correctly.

Ability

Guess the champion from one spell icon shown without its name, then a bonus question asks which spell it is: Passive, Q, W, E or R. A Challenger option adds a grey filter and random rotation.

Emoji

Guess the champion from a sequence of emojis; each try unlocks one more, and everyone sees the same ones.

Splash

Guess the champion from a cropped section of one of their splash arts, from the default look or any skin; each try zooms out a bit, and a bonus question asks for the splash name.

Worlds Mayhem

A temporary event mode: pick teams and players and assign roles over five rounds to build your dream roster and win the cup.

• Open Classic with a champion whose properties are unusual, such as an early release year, a rare resource or a distinctive region, so the first row rules out a large part of the roster.
• Orange on Position(s), Species or Region(s) is precise: those columns can hold several values, and orange means the target shares some of yours but not all.
• Use the release-year arrow as a bracket: two guesses at opposite ends of the range, which runs from 2009 to today, pin the year to a narrow span.
• Range type has only three values, Melee, Ranged and Melee Ranged, so red there rules out a whole category at once.
• In Emoji and Splash, every extra try reveals more, one emoji or a wider crop, so a quick guess sometimes buys more information than a long stare.
• Clues in Classic unlock after several guesses; if you are stuck, spending one more guess to reach a quote or a spell icon can pay for itself.
