Quartiles Word

The grid lines up twenty word fragments of two to four letters, and the game is about sticking them back together. A single fragment can be enough, but the scoring clearly rewards longer assemblies, and five words in the grid are designated as targets: bringing all five together adds thirty points. The counter shows how many words the grid contains in total, which completely changes the mood, since you aren’t searching in the dark but know exactly what remains to find. The day's grid carries a difficulty label and a live points total.

1. Tap the fragments in order to form a word, from a single fragment up to four.
2. Watch the found-words counter, which shows your progress against the total number of words in the grid, and the points total just above it.
3. Use the row of tools under the grid: full shuffle, shuffle limited to unused fragments, sort, and a "🔍 Check" button.
4. Press the Hint button when the grid closes.
5. Hunt down the five target words, which alone trigger the thirty-point bonus when all are assembled, and the four-fragment combinations, the highest-paid on the scoring scale.

Knowing from the first second how many words the grid hides turns the usual pleasure of the word hunt on its head: there is no longer doubt about the existence of a solution, only about your ability to see it. And since the scoring clearly rewards long assemblies, the game constantly pits the safety of small words against the ambition of big ones.

No color code here; the feedback is numerical. Each accepted word joins the Found Words panel, which shows the number of words found out of the grid's total and the points total, and the word counter moves toward the total number contained in the grid. The scoring scale is published in advance: one point for a single fragment, two for two, four for three, ten for four, and a thirty-point bonus if the five target words drop. The site also sets a trophy threshold at one hundred points.

Practice Mode

• The scoring is not linear: a four-fragment word is worth ten points, more than double a three-fragment word. With equal time, aiming for long combinations yields more than sweeping up the small ones.
• Don’t neglect short words either, since the counter counts them toward the grid's total and they still score.
• Read the fragments as building blocks: prefixes on one side, endings on the other. Sorting the grid before searching helps spot which pieces cannot start or end a word.
