What is Rabbit Hole?
Rabbit Hole is a daily word puzzle in which you 'hop' from a start word to a target word using as few intermediate words as possible. Hops can be based on rhyme, synonym or antonym connections. The game validates submitted words against a growing human-curated connections library and several linguistic data sources to determine whether each hop is accepted.
How to play
- Open the daily puzzle and view the start and target words (the goal is to hop to the target).
- Enter a word as a hop; the game checks that submission against its connections library and external sources.
- Use rhyme, synonym or antonym relationships to form valid hops; undo a hop if needed or reveal a hint word when stuck.
- Complete the route to collect rewards and view stats, results, or share your route.
Why play Rabbit Hole?
Puzzles are hand-crafted and tested by humans and aim to be challenging but fair. The game encourages creative thinking across rhyme, synonym and antonym links, offers rewards and stats, and presents a daily puzzle that invites exploration of many possible routes.
Reading the feedback
Submitted words are checked against a growing, human-curated connections library; for words not in the library the site uses Datamuse, RhymeBrain, WordNet and ConceptNet to evaluate connections. The interface shows progress and outcomes (for example, stats, rewards on completion, 'Already played today! Next puzzle in 00:00:00', and aggregate hints such as 'Most players complete this in 7-8 hops').
