Vendy

Vendy places two words into a Venn diagram and asks you to find them from their letters. The tutorial explains it with PLAY and VENDY: blue letters belong only to the first word, pink letters only to the second, purple letters to both at once. Three grids appear each day, Easy, Medium and Hard, each shown under a displayed theme, and the timer runs while you search.

1. Choose one of the day's three grids, E, M or H, from the challenge list.
2. Read the diagram: blue for letters of the first word only, purple for the shared area, pink for the second word only.
3. Compose your answer with a physical keyboard or by tapping the letters directly in the diagram.
4. Validate with SUBMIT. The timer keeps running.
5. Use the Hint button if you get stuck, knowing it adds ten seconds to your final time.

The idea of turning a Venn diagram into a word grid is simple and immediately legible, even to someone who's never played: three zones, three colors, two words. The creation tool and the announced projector mode also show who the game primarily thinks of: classrooms.

A wrong answer shows a “Not quite, keep going!” beneath the grid while the timer at the top continues to advance by tenths of a second. The score is therefore read as time, not number of attempts, and each hint adds to it at the stated rate of ten seconds.

Projector Mode

Full-screen display intended for a classroom projector, announced on the page with the label COMING SOON.

• Turn on the “Highlight Repeat Letters” option from the menu: the tutorial warns that letters can repeat, and the setting shows which ones appear multiple times.
• Attack the purple area first, the most constrained: those letters must fit in both words at once.
• Think about a hint before taking it. Ten seconds added to a score measured in seconds is noticeable.
• Use the theme displayed above the diagram as a semantic filter when the letters allow multiple readings.
