Vowelless

Vowelless shows the consonants of a word, in order, and lets you put the vowels back. Its particularity is that it accepts multiple answers: the site itself shows PRM, which is valid for both PRIME and PROM. Score is counted by length, the longest valid word scoring the most, and each grid is raced against a thirty-second timer.

1. Choose your entry: Daily Challenge for the day's series, Solo Mode for a random draw.
2. Read the sequence of consonants shown and the hint line that specifies how many different answers are accepted.
3. Type a real word that contains exactly those consonants in that order, then submit with ENTER.
4. Move to the next grid with 'skip →' if the word doesn't come before the timer runs out.

The idea of accepting multiple answers changes the feel: instead of hunting for a single solution, you weigh the word that comes immediately against a longer word that scores more, with thirty seconds to decide. It's a vocabulary game that rewards ambition as much as memory.

The game doesn't just say yes or no: under the tiles, a line announces the number of possible answers for the current grid, which immediately indicates whether a better find remains. A rejected word returns 'not a valid answer, try again' without stopping the timer, and the verified solo game showed its progress as 'PUZZLE 1 OF 8'.

Daily Challenge

The same set of grids for everyone, once per day; finishing it keeps your streak going.

Solo Mode

A random draw of grids at will, presented as having no effect on the daily streak.

• Say the consonant sequence out loud: the rhythm often makes the word appear faster than reading the tiles.
• Look at the counter of possible answers before submitting. If several remain, a longer word may be hiding behind the same consonants.
• Don't get stuck on a rejection: you don't need to find the original intended word, only a valid word with the same skeleton.
• Use Solo Mode to practice: it doesn't affect the Daily Challenge streak.
