Flagle

This is the daily page of flagle-game.com. The flag to find stays in a black frame and is not revealed in random pieces: after each guess, only the pixels of the solution that match the proposed flag appear. All flags have been brought to the same format, so the comparison is direct. Six result rows sit below the frame and a "Choose a country" selector serves as the keyboard.

1. Choose a country from the "Choose a country" list, which shows flag thumbnails by default.
2. Confirm with GUESS.
3. Observe the frame: the revealed part corresponds to the areas where the proposed flag and the solution overlap.
4. Deduce the missing colors and patterns, then try again: six guesses in total.

Revealing by shared pixels is a mechanic far subtler than simple progressive uncovering: each failed guess still draws part of the answer, and you end up playing flags you know are wrong solely for their geometry. It's graphic mine-clearing in six moves.

Feedback is visual before it's textual: the frame fills only with the pixels common to your guess and the solution, and each of the six rows under the frame holds the summary of the attempt. A welcome tooltip also points out hard mode, and an illustrated example appears in the HOW TO PLAY block.

Hard mode

A tooltip offers to enable hard mode to hide flag thumbnails in the country list. The setting is preserved in the browser.

∞ button

The header bears an infinity-shaped button.

• Hard mode does not change the solution; it only removes thumbnails from the selector. You can't compare visually before submitting.
• Since all flags are brought to the same format, a guess can be used to test a family of patterns, vertical bands or an off-center cross, rather than a specific country.
• A guess that reveals almost nothing is information in itself: it instantly rules out all color palettes close to the one proposed.
