Geo Cross

Geo Cross is a daily country-themed crossword where each horizontal row must be filled with a country's common English name. Correct horizontal answers reveal letters in a highlighted vertical column; when enough letters are revealed you must guess the mystery country. The game offers daily puzzles, optional hints for rows, and leaderboard/stats tracking.

1. Examine a horizontal row that represents a country's name and use the given letters and blank squares to identify it.
2. If stuck, click the 'Show Hint' button for a random clue type (flag, neighbor, timezone, capital city, etc.).
3. Enter the country name for the horizontal row; each correct horizontal answer reveals a letter in the highlighted vertical column.
4. Once the vertical column letters are revealed, guess the mystery country using the revealed letters.
5. Use the Share button on the results screen to copy a spoiler-free summary after completing the puzzle.

Geo Cross blends crossword-style solving with world geography, rewarding both country-name knowledge and deduction. Daily puzzles provide a shared challenge and leaderboard competition, while hints and an unlimited practice mode let players improve and learn more about countries over time.

Correctly solving horizontal rows reveals letters in the highlighted vertical column that help identify the mystery country. Scoring starts at 100 points with set deductions by guess number (no deduction for 1st guess; -5 for 2nd to 4th; -7 for 5th to 6th; -10 thereafter) and a minimum of 30 points. Streaks add bonus points (streak × 3) plus an extra +10 for every 10 consecutive wins. After completing a puzzle a Share button appears and your stats are updated.

Daily puzzle (Core play)

A single new puzzle is released every day at midnight local time. Players solve the horizontal country rows to reveal the vertical mystery country; daily results, streaks and stats are recorded and affect leaderboards.

Unlimited mode

An alternate mode that allows unlimited play and access to past puzzles for practice. According to the site, stats and streaks are only affected by the daily puzzle (so Unlimited mode play does not change daily stats/streaks).

• Fill easier horizontal rows first to reveal more letters in the vertical column and narrow possible mystery countries.
• Use the 'Show Hint' button on a row (hint types include flag, neighbor, timezone, and capital) to resolve tricky country names.
• Keep an eye on your number of guesses to minimize point deductions (first guess has no deduction).
