Linkzic

Linkzic is a daily music Connections played with real song clips. Four songs, sixteen words: each song hides a theme, such as rain, boxing or the Titanic, and four words in the grid belong to it. You listen to a clip, guess its theme and tap its four words; the line checks itself. One grid a day, drawn from fifty years of hits, free and without an account.

1. Press play on Song 1 and listen; the arrows switch between the four songs.
2. Guess the theme the song hides.
3. Tap the four words of the grid that belong to that theme; the line checks itself.
4. Move to the next song and repeat until the whole grid is revealed.
5. Share your grid as coloured squares, with no song titles, so nobody is spoiled.

Linkzic is for Connections players who would rather be given a song than a bare wall of words, and for music fans who like reading a lyric or a video for clues. The first song's theme sits in its title, the later ones hide in the story, the video, then a reference, so the difficulty climbs inside one grid. It is not for anyone who wants to play muted: the clips are the puzzle. A grid takes three to six minutes.

Each completed line of four words confirms itself and reveals part of the grid. The share button copies the finished grid as coloured squares with no song titles.
