Swiftle

Swiftle is a clip-guessing game entirely devoted to Taylor Swift: you start a clip and must name the song in a search field flanked by a Skip and an Enter. The screen is a dark starry night, with a large play button at the center, and an icon bar at the top: help, game selector, statistics, settings. On arrival, an announcement window covers the play area; one such announcement, titled "The Game of a Showgirl", noted the addition of The Life of a Showgirl tracks to the Daily and Rapid modes, a new mode in preparation, and plans for sign-in and cloud progression. The game is credited to one person, @sparshxtechyon, who describes it as a passion project.

1. Close the announcement window that opens over the play area (red X at the top right of the panel).
2. Start the clip with the large play button in the center of the screen.
3. Type a title into the search field, then confirm with Enter, or pass with Skip.

Because a discography this dense deserves a game that doesn't cheat: recognizing a Taylor Swift clip in a few seconds is its specialty. Swiftle embraces fan service even in its tone, up to the author's full-page announcements, and that's what gives it the feel of a club rather than a product.

The browser's local save holds the daily game (date, list of guesses, index of the correct answer) and a stats ledger with games played, wins, success percentage, current streak, best streak and a six-slot result distribution. Two settings also appear there: a dark theme, active, and a colorblind mode. A hard mode switch is present, turned off.

Daily

The default mode, cited by the site's announcement ("Added The Life of a Showgirl songs to Swiftle Daily and Rapid!").

Rapid

Named by the same announcement; the game selector is a controller icon in the top bar.

Hard mode

A hard mode switch appears in the local save, disabled by default, with a field reserved for the date of the next change.

• The day's announcement notes that tracks from The Life of a Showgirl have been added to the pool: the most recent repertoire is in play, not only the installed albums.
• Colorblind mode and the theme live in settings, the gear in the top right, not on the play area itself.
• The announcement window opens over the game: close it before looking for the play button, it's not a startup screen.
