MLB Name Chain

MLB Name Chain is a baseball-player linking game built around active and former MLB names. You create a path in which the first letter of one player’s last name becomes the first letter of the next player’s first name, then try to extend the chain or tackle specialised daily and competitive modes.

1. Choose the MLB league and a mode such as Classic or Daily Path.
2. Enter a full player name to start a chain.
3. Make the next player’s first name begin with the first letter of the previous player’s last name.
4. Follow the Chain count, Next Starts, Best and Last Valid Player indicators as the path grows.

Choose MLB Name Chain if you enjoy sports knowledge used as a word-linking constraint. The visible next-letter and path feedback make it approachable for a casual chain, while timed and daily modes add repeatable structure.

Name Chain validates submitted names immediately against its player dataset. A name that is not recognised triggers the message “Invalid player - not found in dataset”; the board also exposes Chain, Next Starts, Best, Last Valid Player and Your Path fields to track accepted progress.

• Check the last name before submitting; its initial dictates the next player’s first-name initial.
