Cricle

Cricle is a daily cricket game that stages all its vocabulary: a mystery player hides behind a blurred photo placed at the center of a field, and your six attempts are numbered BALL 1 to BALL 6, like the six balls of an over. On the right, the SCORE BOARD waits for your guesses across six columns (NAME, COUNTRY, ROLE, BAT, BOWL, AGE) while six dotted markers under the photo count down what you have left.

1. Open cricle.in and press PLAY to go from the home screen to the field.
2. Look at the blurred photo of the mystery player, beneath the question "WHO IS TODAY'S MYSTERY PLAYER?".
3. Enter a player's name in the "GUESS A PLAYER..." field then confirm with GUESS.
4. Read the corresponding line on the SCORE BOARD, which compares the guess on NAME, COUNTRY, ROLE, BAT, BOWL and AGE.
5. Repeat up to the sixth ball, weighing whether to use the HINT (3) button, which the game states is paid: "You can use hints, but it will cost wickets!".
6. Surrender via SURRENDER if the day's already lost.

Cricle chose to clothe its deductive mechanic through and through: you don't lose attempts, you lose balls, and a hint is paid for in wickets. This grammar of the over changes the way you play, because six balls are managed like a real over, with a broad opening and an end under pressure. For a cricket fan, it's more meaningful than any attempt counter.

Each validated guess occupies one of the six BALL lines on the SCORE BOARD and is read in columns: country, role, batting style, bowling style, age.

HISTORY

A HISTORY button sits in the top bar, next to STATS and RANK.

• The field expects an identified player, not an ordinary word: an ordinary entry writes nothing to the board. Type a full name and let the input confirm that it exists before submitting.
• The six columns do not have the same elimination value: COUNTRY and ROLE cut the pool into large blocks, AGE and the BAT / BOWL styles are more for distinguishing between two close profiles. Start broad, then narrow down.
• Hints are explicitly charged in wickets by the game: save them for the moment when a wasted ball would cost more than the hint itself.
