GroundIQ drops you into a real stadium and asks who it belongs to. The view is a Google panorama locked to a point: you can rotate in place and zoom, never walk, which the page states in plain text: no going off to hunt for a distant sign. To the right of the panorama, the question "Which team calls this ground home?", a field labeled "Type the team", a "Lock team" button and a TIME BONUS gauge that starts at 45 s and drains. At the top, ROUND 1/5, a DAILY badge and a SCORE at 0. A discreet note, "AS OF 2025-26", specifies which season the club-stadium association refers to. The day's challenge is dated and identical for everyone: the launch block shows the date and "SAME FIVE TODAY".

1. Rotate the view and zoom to read the stands, the seat colors, the advertising boards and the skyline, staying in the same spot.
2. Type the club name into the field and confirm with Lock team.
3. Answer before the gauge runs out: the game states that speed earns points, "Faster answers keep more points".
4. Go through the five locations of the day; the total is compared with other players on the weekly leaderboard.

Recognizing a stadium without its match is a distinct exercise: no kits, no commentary, only the geometry of the stands and the seat colors. GroundIQ makes the most of this constraint by locking the view, removing the possibility of reading a distant sign, and putting a 45-second bonus on the table, which punishes hesitation as much as ignorance. The five locations are the same for everyone each day, making comparisons fair, and the "AS OF 2025-26" tag avoids arguments about recent relocations.

The score stays visible at all times in the top right and the TIME BONUS gauge counts down second by second next to the answer field: the feedback is first temporal, the page repeating that answering quickly preserves more points, with a cap announced at 1,000. The weekly leaderboard is dated by week and shows the number of days played next to each total.

Daily challenge

Five stadiums per day, the same for everyone, with the date shown clearly on the launch block and a streak to maintain.

• Seats first. The game itself advises this: stand colors and patterns are the strongest clue, many clubs drawing their initials or crest into the terraces and matching the seat color to their kit.
• Gauge the scale before hunting a detail: a large bowl with multiple tiers indicates a different kind of club than a compact ground, and this is the other marker the page highlights.
• Don't waste time looking for a distant sign: the view is locked to its point. You rotate and zoom, you don't move.
• Club attachments are dated "AS OF 2025-26": a recently vacated or shared stadium should be judged according to that snapshot, not according to an older memory.
