Hertl

Hertl is a daily NHL player-identification game. You try to name the mystery active NHL player in eight guesses, then use the returned comparisons for team history, age, jersey number and other player properties to narrow the target. A new mystery player arrives each day at midnight EST.

1. Enter an active NHL player as your first guess.
2. Read the colored comparison boxes and any age or jersey-number arrows.
3. Use those clues to choose the next player until you identify the daily target within eight guesses.

Choose Hertl if you follow the NHL and enjoy deduction through player attributes rather than simple trivia recall. The team-history signal and numeric arrows reward knowledge of player movement as well as current roster facts.

Every guess shows how close it is to the mystery player: green is a match, yellow is close and gray is not a match. A yellow team cell means that the mystery player previously played for the guessed player’s team. Arrows on age and jersey number indicate whether the target value is higher or lower.

Silhouette

A visible SHOW SILHOUETTE control adds a player-image clue to the board.

• Use team history as a separate clue from a current-team match: yellow can mean the target previously played for the guessed player’s team.
• Follow age and jersey-number arrows instead of treating those fields as simple matches.
• Start with a well-known active player who is likely to reveal several useful comparisons at once.
