Reversle

Reversle is a backwards Wordle-style puzzle. Instead of discovering a hidden word, you are shown a five-letter solution word and colored constraints, then must construct four different five-letter words that satisfy the required color pattern in each row. Each row is an independent mini-puzzle.

1. Read the displayed solution word and the color pattern for a row.
2. Enter a five-letter word that meets every positional rule for that row.
3. Repeat for the four independent rows; solving all four words wins the puzzle.

Choose Reversle if conventional Wordle feedback feels too familiar. It reverses the inference problem: the answer word is known, but you must reason from its color constraints to generate valid alternatives.

The colors are direct constraint feedback: one color requires the same letter as the solution in that position, another requires a different letter from the solution word in that position but one that still appears in the solution, and the third requires a letter absent from the solution word. The game records timings and a current and best streak in its statistics.

Archived Puzzles

The game’s welcome notice states that archived puzzles can be played.

• Treat the four rows independently; a word that works for one pattern does not need to help another.
• For each colored square, separate position constraints from membership constraints before searching for a word.
• Account for duplicate letters exactly as the help page explains; a repeated required letter can need to appear twice.
